Hi there, I’m Zhaozhou Li (Chinese: 李昭洲 ), an associate professor at Nanjing University, School of Astronomy & Space Science.
Before joining Nanjing, I was a postdoc at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel (2021–2025) supported by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (2023–2025), and earlier at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China (2018–2021). I received my PhD from the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory in China (2011–2017).

My research focuses on formation and dynamics of galaxies and halos. I'm intrigued by the mechanisms shaping cosmic structures into their current state, particularly the roles of baryonic feedback, mergers, and environmental effects. I aim to develop a theoretical understanding of the underlying physical processes with the help of observations and simulations, especially from a perspective of dynamics. [read more]
